This rambling 5000 SF loft in Soho had existing skylights and smashing views of the downtown Manhattan skyline. Over time, however, it had been jerry-built into a series of small dark uninviting rooms.
The loft was reorganized to create a generous contemporary kitchen and spacious new Master Suite incorporating bath, laundry and grooming areas as well as storage.
A rigorous materials palette of cherry makara with raw and stainless steel is simple but rigorously detailed.
The boomerang wall in color plaster marks the new entry hall to the loft, and screens the Master bedroom.
